West Ham United are interested in signing Lucas Paqueta from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Premier League club West Ham are pushing to agree a deal worth over €50 million including bonuses with French outfit Lyon for the Brazil international midfielder.
The Hammers made an initial bid of €40 million for Paqueta, but Lyon turned it down. Arsenal and Newcastle United are also reported to be interested in the 24-year-old former Flamengo and AC Milan player. 90min have claimed that West Ham are close to agreeing a £50 million+ deal for the Brazilian star.
Paqueta has been on the books of Lyon since 2020 when he joined from AC Milan and has established himself as an important player for the French club. He scored 15 goals and assists in 32 Ligue 1 matches for Lyon last season.
