According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Burnley have rejected a second bid from West Ham United for defender James Tarkowski.
The Hammers’ initial bid of £27 million was turned down earlier in the week, but after coming back with an improved offer of £30 million, many felt as if the Clarets may entertain it.
That hasn’t proven to be the case and instead, Burnley supposedly want a fee of around £50 million in order to try and agree to the sale.
Tarkowski has been tipped for another run at the England squad in the lead-up to UEFA Euro 2o21 next year, but with the start of the Premier League season being less than two days away now, his main focus will be figuring out where he’s going to be playing his club football.
West Ham need a few big signings, because if they don’t get them, the finger will continue to be pointed at the club for having a real lack of ambition.
