Where will Falcao be next season?

Of course it’s the time of year where transfer speculation flies around rather flippantly but Radomel Falcao is being linked with the biggest clubs around Europe. With good reason too, Falcao has lit up La Liga and the Europa league this season. His most recent spectacle on the football pitch was a stunning bicycle kick from a corner just inside the penalty box.

Many of Falcao’s suitors won’t have been surprised by this as he has been in sensational form all season scoring freely and with exceptional ease. Falcao signed for Atletico Madrid in August last year for £34.7million a price tag that has returned thirty-six goals in La Liga and Europa league.

So far according to the Guardian and the Mirror the main contenders for the twenty-six year old Colombian striker are all based in England and Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all said to be in the mix. However, Atletico may have priced Manchester United out of the race though by slapping a 40-50 million price tag on him. Manchester City and Chelsea are much more willing to part with that kind of money.

However the stumbling block for these clubs could be the fact that Falcao doesn’t want to leave Atletico Madrid as he has expressed a desire to stay with the Madrid based club. So it could take a fairly sizeable offer to lure the exciting striker away from Estadio Vicente Calderon.
