While Chelsea might have once again broken the bank this summer as they welcomed both Leicester skipper Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, much of the focus around west London has been on who could be heading in the opposite direction.
Already watching Dutch international Ian Maatsen leave for Aston Villa for a fee of £35million, the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge have made it clear that they are looking to push several of their first-teams stars out of the exit.
With Conor Gallagher set to complete a stunning move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, we look set for a hectic end to the summer transfer for Enzo Maresca’s new squad.
With just a few weeks until the summer transfer window slams shut, we have taken a look at some of the other Chelsea superstars that could be following Gallagher out of Stamford Bridge.
Romelu Lukaku
While there might have been plenty of excitement around Stamford Bridge back in August 2021 as Romelu Lukaku return to west London for a record-breaking fee of £97.5million, the Belgian international has endured a public nightmare.
Now loaned out and sent back to Italy over the past two seasons, the Blues have made it abundantly clear that they are desperate to force the one-time Manchester United striker out of the Stamford Bridge exit.
With both parties past the point of trying to find any kind of resolution, Maresca has no intention of using Lukaku this season and it appears inevitable that a permanent return to Serie A is on the cards before the window slams shut.
With Chelsea reportedly leading the chase to snap up Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen this summer, it was suggested last week that both clubs have already held initial talks over what would be a sensational swap deal over the coming weeks.
Watching new Napoli boss Antonio Conte desperate to reunite with Lukaku after the 31-year-old scored 64 goals in 95 Inter Milan appearances under Conte’s guidance, it appears that a move to Naples is becoming increasingly likely.

Trevoh Chalobah
Shockingly left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States last month and forced to stay put in west London, it appears almost inevitable that Trevoh Chalobah will be forcibly removed from Stamford Bridge this summer.
With Chelsea’s hierarchy making it clear that they want to cash in on the 25-year-old over the next few weeks, Chalobah faces what appears to be a frantic end to the summer transfer window.
The Blues’ academy graduate featured 13 times in the Premier League last season but appears to have become surplus to requirements in west London and has accepted that his future is elsewhere.
With Chelsea reportedly placing a £25million price tag on their defensive star, it has been suggested that Chalobah has plenty of Premier League suitors who are weighing up a late summer swoop.
With Manchester United already watching the duo of Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala leave Old Trafford this summer, it has been reported that Erik ten Hag is an admirer of the former England U21 international.
Trevoh Chalobah was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour to the USA and knows he is low down in the pecking order. He has plenty of interest from clubs in the Premier League and abroad and while he doesn’t want to leave, it’s increasingly likely he will do so.

Noni Madueke
Although Noni Madueke might have only arrived at Chelsea in January 2023 after completing a £30million move from Dutch outfit PSV, it feels there has been constant speculation over the 22-year-old’s long-term future in west London.
While the England U21 international might have shown flashes of brilliance at Stamford Bridge last season, he largely struggled to establish himself under Mauricio Pochettino.
Certainly dividing opinion in SW6, there has been plenty of reports that Chelsea are keen on cashing in on Madueke before the summer transfer window slams shut in just a few weeks time.
With it yet to be seen where the one-time Tottenham youngster fits into Maresca’s plans, Newcastle have remained a huge admirer of Madueke and it has been suggested that Eddie Howe’s men are still planning on mounting a late summer swoop.
With question marks still lurking over Anthony Gordon’s future at St. James’ Park amidst interest from Liverpool, it was reported last week that Newcastle have identified the Chelsea ace as their dream replacement and they believe Madueke would be open to the move.
New: Newcastle have Noni Madueke high on their list and are continuing to discuss the Chelsea man. #NUFC #CFC @TEAMtalk.
