Suffering a 1-0 loss against Leicester in Saturday’s Community Shield showdown at Wembley, many across Europe are still expecting plenty of activity at Manchester City before the transfer closes in under three weeks.

Breaking the bank this summer as they announced the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in a deal worth £100million last week, there still remains a string of speculation surrounding another move for England skipper Harry Kane.

However, while Pep Guardiola’s side might be putting together their final preparations before they open their Premier League season against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon, it appears that a number of Man City aces could be heading for the Etihad exit.

With only a few weeks until the transfer window slams shut, we have taken a look at a number of Sky Blues stars who could be on their way out.

Bernardo Silva

With it finally announced last week that City had completed a record-breaking deal for Grealish, there was immediately a host of speculation about what the future holds for some of Guardiola’s other midfield options.

Shocking many ahead of Saturday’s Community Shield final by publically announcing that Bernardo Silva is itching for a move away from Manchester this summer, the Portuguese star appears determined to push through a switch away from the defending Premier League champions.

Also competing against the likes of Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden, it has been reported over the past few days that Silva will not be short of options if he is to end his four-year stay this summer.

Enduring a difficult campaign at the Etihad last season, despite claiming his third Premier League title, The Daily Mail reported over the weekend that City are keen on the idea of using Silva as a makeweight in their pursuit of Harry Kane.

Aymeric Laporte

Watching Ruben Dias make an immediate impact following his Premier League switch last season, there is no doubt that his standout partnership with John Stones was a key factor in Manchester City’s charge to reclaim their domestic crown.

However, switching his international allegiances over the summer and featuring for Spain at this year’s delayed European Championships, Aymeric Laporte now finds himself from the outside looking in.

With it appearing that Guardiola has now settled on his preferred defensive duo, 90min reported last week that the former Athletic Bilbao man has made it clear that he wants to be granted a move away from the Etihad before the window slams shut.

Allegedly with his sights only set on a move back to Spain this summer, 90min’s report also suggests that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have asked the English champions to be kept informed of his situation over the coming weeks.

Gabriel Jesus

With Guardiola making it no secret over the weekend that he still has his sights set on completing a potential deal for a wantaway Kane this summer, it appears that Gabriel Jesus’ tenure at City could be coming to an end.

Despite scoring 14 goals in 42 appearances for City in their Premier League-winning campaign last season, many fans around the Etihad are still to be convinced if the Brazilian striker is the man to fill Sergio Aguero’s boots as a long-term successor.

Now entering the final two years of his current deal with the Sky Blues, Italian outlet Calciomercato claimed last week that Juventus would be interested in striking a deal with the Premier League champions.

Reported to be returning boss Massimiliano Allegri’s number one pick this summer, reports from across Italy have suggested that City could be tempted to part ways with Jesus for £43million, but not a penny less.
