Who could still be heading for the Manchester United exit this summer?

With Manchester United eventually making the decision to stick with Erik ten Hag this summer, the Red Devils once again have plenty of pressure on their shoulders this time around.

Drastically falling short in their bid to book another Champions League ticket, it is no secret that the new hierarchy at Old Trafford face a crucial summer behind the scenes.

While United might have already broken the bank as they officially welcomed Lille defender Leny Yoro for a reported fee of £60million, there has been plenty of speculation over who could be heading in the opposite direction.

Ahead of what looks set to be a frantic end to the summer transfer window, we have taken a look at who could be heading for the Manchester United exit over the coming weeks.

Jadon Sancho

At the heart of a public feud with ten Hag last season and stealing plenty of the headlines around Old Trafford, many are expecting Jadon Sancho to secure a permanent move away from the Premier League giants this summer.

Making a real impact after returning to former club Borussia Dortmund back in January and playing a crucial role as the German heavyweights reached last season’s Champions League final, the England international enjoyed a real career resurge.

While ten Hag might have stated earlier in the month that he has resolved all of his issues with the one-time Manchester City youngster, it has been heavily reported that a move to Paris is inching closer.

With it suggested that United’s hierarchy are still keen on moving Sancho on before the summer transfer window slams shut, it has been reported that French icons PSG already have a deal in principle with the 23-cap international.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

With it reported over the weekend that United have already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui over a potential move to Old Trafford this summer, it is no secret that the Reds are desperately trying to push Aaron Wan-Bissaka out of the Manchester exit.

While the former Crystal Palace starlet might have made 22 Premier League appearances last season and playing the whole 90 minutes in United’s FA Cup final success back on May 25th, Wan-Bissaka is almost certainly on his way out of Old Trafford.

Despite making 190 appearances for ten Hag’s side since arriving from the Eagles for a £50million fee back in 2019, he has entered the final 12 months of his current deal.

With both parties accepting that a move away from the red half of Manchester is best, it appears that a move to West Ham is inching closer for the 26-year-old.

Scott McTominay

While ten Hag might have publicly stated this month that he has no desire to offload Scott McTominay this summer, there has been plenty of speculation over the Scottish internationals long-term future at Old Trafford.

With it heavily reported over the past fortnight that United are keen on securing a free swoop for now-former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, it appears that United’s homegrown star has tumbled down ten Hag’s midfield pecking order.

Alongside extended speculation from West Ham last summer, it was reported last week that Fulham are interested in McTominay and have even had an initial bid rejected.

Although McTominay might have started 27 matches across all competitions for United last season and was their joint-third goalscorer with 10 strikes, he has also entered the final year of his deal at Old Trafford and both parties remain at loggerheads over a potential extension.
