Who will be on the move before the transfer deadline?

The winter transfer window shuts tomorrow night at midnight.

The winter window has been a relatively quiet one but there is usually a flurry of activity around transfer deadline day.

There are already some deals in the works and here I will look at some of the potential deals:

Nikica Jelavic

Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has attracted interest from the Premier League and according to Sky Sports Everton have lodged an official bid for the Croatian hitman. The Gers have already turned down a bid from West Ham believed to be in the region of £6million.

Everton boss David Moyes has money to spend after Russian midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov joined Spartak Moscow for a fee in the region of £5million.

Moyes has declined to comment on any prospective deal for the striker but the Scot has admitted that he wants to add to his squad before the window shuts. A fee in the region of £8million has been mooted for the striker.

Wilfried Zaha

The young winger is highly-rated and Bolton have had a bid rejected for the Crystal Palace youngster. Zaha has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea. Palace are believed to rate Zaha in the £5million bracket but Bolton didn’t match that valuation.

Zaha could still be on the move though. He could be one of the deadline day movers with a host of clubs keeping tabs on him.

Kevin De Bruyne

According to Sky sources the young Genk midfielder is currently in London having a medical ahead of a reported £6.7million move to Chelsea. De Bruyne is another highly-rated youngster. Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas denied that a deal for the youngster was imminent last week but he has stated that the deal was being conducted by the club not him.

De Bruyne has been in the Genk first team since he was 17 and has been on the Blues radar for a while. The Belgian international will remain at Genk on-loan for the remainder of the season.

Hugo Rodallega

According to Sky Sports Fulham are set to launch a bid for the Wigan striker. A fee hasn’t been revealed but Fulham striker Andy Johnson could be offered in exchange for the Colombian hitman.

The striker’s contract at Wigan expires in the summer, so the Cottagers could get Rodallega for a knockdown fee. Rodallega is always a big threat to defences and could be a good signing for Fulham.

Djibril Cisse

Premier League QPR are looking to sign the Lazio striker before the transfer window shuts. The French striker only arrived in Rome from Greek side Panathinaikos in the summer but has struggled to command a regular first team place in the Italian capital.

QPR boss Mark Hughes is expected to bring in a few more new faces before the transfer window shuts. Tomorrow could be a very busy day for the new Rangers boss.

Carlos Tevez

The Argentinian’s move away from Manchester City really has dragged on. The striker has been linked with numerous clubs including AC Milan, Inter and in recent days Liverpool. QPR were linked with an ambitious bid for the 27 year-old but Mark Hughes has denied a bid for the striker.

I am really surprised that Tevez is still at Manchester City but it looks likely that he could be at the club when the transfer window shuts. If he does move then I think it will be to a foreign club.

Rush

As always there are likely to be some surprise last minute moves on transfer deadline day. Last January’s transfer window ended with two incredible deals with Fernando Torres joining Chelsea and Andy Carroll joining Liverpool for major money on deadline day.

With clubs tightening their belts I can’t see anything similar happening. However in football there is always a crazy deal in the pipeline and we just never know what is going to happen. Watch this space!

Who will be the big mover on transfer deadline day?
