Argentinian superstar Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero is set to leave La Liga side Atletico Madrid this summer.
The 23 year-old has declared that he doesn’t intend to rejoin his Atletico team-mates on his return from international duty at the Copa America.

Aguero has told his representatives to find him a new club. There is a list of top clubs believing to be trailing the striker with the likes of Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City all interested in acquiring his services for next season.
He has recently stated that he would prefer to either stay in Spain or move to the Premier League. That really does narrow his options down to a select group of clubs.
Money
Maradona’s son-in-law is likely to cost in the region of £40million and only the elite clubs in Spain and England would be able to afford his wages.
The current favourites are Premier League Manchester City and La Liga giants Real Madrid. They both have the funds to be able to afford his transfer fee and massive wage demands.
Replacement
The English club look likely to lose Aguero’s international teammate Carlos Tevez this summer. And City boss Roberto Mancini has already talked about Aguero as a possible replacement for the unhappy star.
Aguero is a similar player to Tevez but hasn’t quite got the same work rate. More importantly he hasn’t got any experience of playing in the Premier League. Lots of South American’s have came to the English top flight and failed to live up to expectations.
Traitor
One of Aguero’s other options would be to move across the city to Atletico’s bitter-rivals Real Madrid. The Atleti faithful are not going to like the idea of Aguero joining their bitter-rivals.
And Aguero would quickly go from hero to villain in the eyes of Atletico Madrid fans. I think the fans of Atletico Madrid have accepted that Aguero will leave but they would rather him join a foreign club. The player himself hasn’t ruled out a move across the city.
Option
On the other hand Real boss Jose Mourinho has stated that he is looking for another attacking option. Real have been linked with a move to bring Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor back to the Bernabeu next season but haven’t completed yet completed a deal.
Aguero would definitely be another attacking option for Mourinho. However Mourinho is believed to be looking for a striker with more physical presence to add a different dimension to his team, so Aguero may not be the right signing for them this summer.
Chelsea
Chelsea’s new boss Andre Villas-Boas is looking to strengthen his squad and Aguero would be seen as a quality addition to his strike force. He does have quality attacking options in Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Fernando Torres amongst others.
And Chelsea are seen as outsiders because of the presence of the aforementioned attacking options.
Talented
The Argentinian striker is definitely talented and with his combination of pace and power he could be a big success in the English top flight. And he is just starting to fulfil his potential.
What he will need is a greater consistency if he is to become a truly world-class player whether that be in Spain or England. However the right manager could help him fulfil his potential.
