Hoffenheim have signed 18-year-old midfielder Sandro Wieser from Swiss club Basel.

Wieser has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit.

“We are pleased to be able to tie down, on a long-term contract, a German-speaking player who is also a top talent,” Hoffenheim sporting director Ernst Tanner said.

“He already has experience of international football with his country, despite his young age, and has already proven his potential.”

“Here he will find the perfect conditions to continue his development and establish himself in the Bundesliga.”

Wieser has earned 10 senior caps for Liechtenstein.

A transfer fee was not disclosed.
