Wigan Athletic teenager Kyle Joseph has attracted attention of top tier clubs in England and Scotland. According to the Mirror, he is currently an object of a race between Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United, Glasgow Rangers and Celtic. However, there has been no official approach from any of those clubs as of yet.
The young striker was promoted to the first team at Wigan last summer, just before turning 19 in September. He has so far appeared 13 times in the club shirt since then in all competitions, scoring four times, including a hat-trick in the League One triumph away to Burton Albion on December 29th.
Joseph started the season on the bench but turned into a regular starter in early November. He has represented Scotland at the Under-18 and Under-19 levels. His contract expires at the end of the season and he has been offered a new one, but even if he doesn’t sign it, the Latics would still be entitled to compensation for his services.
