Wigan Athletic will have to do without their influential striker Amr Zaki for up to three weeks. The Egyptian picked up a hamstring injury while playing for his country.

Zaki scored in Egypt’s 1-1 draw with Zambia on Sunday but spent the final minutes in agony as all replacements had already been used.

The Latics are currently in seventh place, although the gap with sixth-placed Everton, who are on course for a UEFA Cup spot, is considerable.
