Wijnaldum’s Barcelona details prepared

According to a recent report from Sport, Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is set to sign a three-year contract if he joins Barcelona.

The expectation for the longest time has been that the Dutchman will leave the Reds in favour of a move to the Nou Camp, and we can’t imagine we’ll have to wait too much longer for the confirmation of this deal going through.

Liverpool fans are resigned to the fact that Wijnaldum is going to leave and while that wouldn’t be the end of the world, he’s certainly been a strong and efficient member of their first team squad in recent years.

Whether or not that opens up the door for Liverpool to dip into the market themselves remains to be seen but for now, Wijnaldum will likely be focused on having one grand last stand under Jurgen Klopp before he takes the next step forward in his career.
