Manchester City out-of-favour striker Wilfried Bony has agreed on a move to the Italian side Hellas Verona, Sky sources have reported.
The Ivory Coast international does not feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans for the new season and has been given all clear to leave the Etihad. With his representatives in Italy over the past couple of days it was only a matter of time before it was confirmed that the 28-year-old was moving to Serie A.
However, the move is set to be made official on the transfer Deadline Day when Bony will be promoted to a marquee signing for a club that has just earned promotion to the top tier of Italian football.
The Ivory Coast international will move to Verona on a one-year loan deal for which the Citizens will pocket a £1 million.
Bony is coming off from a loan spell at Stoke City where he scored only two goals in 10 Premier League appearances last season.
