With only several months before the end of his contract with the American LA Galaxy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be relocating again, AS reports.
After Ibrahimovic’s prolific career in European football came to an end in 2018, the Swedish striker decided to follow in the footsteps of many of his fellow players and sign a contract overseas – an option that would allow him to continue his professional football career.
The Swede proved to be a good investment for the MLS team, as he scored 42 goals in 48 appearances so far. However, he could not help Galaxy reach the playoffs and fight for the league title, which the club have not won since 2014. Ahead of the 2019 season the 37-year-old was made the team’s captain.
Asked about Ibrahimovic’s future beyond December 31, LA Galaxy’s General Manager Dennis Te Kloese said that everything is in the air right now and that saying anything else at this moment would be pure speculation:
“Until the end of the season has Zlatan contract, at the end of the tournament we will talk about its possible continuity, any other assessment is speculative,” he concluded.
