Willem Geubbels nears Lyon exit

Lyon wonderkid Willem Geubbels is widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season, according to Radio Monte Carlo.

The 16-year-old has been on the radar of quite a few top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Man City and Monaco, and les Gones will struggle to keep him at Parc OL.

It is believed that the Principality club lead the chase for his services at the moment and the two clubs are reportedly close to reaching an agreement.

Even though Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas claimed he wanted €70 million for Geubbels, chances are he will have to seriously lower his demands due to the fact that the player’s contract expires in just over a year.

Willem Geubbels has so far made four senior appearances for les Gones and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
