Stuttgart midfielder William Kvist could be the subject of a bid from Atletico Madrid, Marca has revealed.
Despite the club president Enrique Cerezo recently commenting the transfer window was closed for los Colchoneros, Diego Simeone is still hoping to sign another central midfielder.
After missing out on Malaga’s Jeremy Toulalan, the Argentine coach has reportedly turned his attention to Stuttgart star William Kvist.
The experienced midfielder has managed to prove his worth in Bundesliga and Simeone believes he would be a great addition to the squad at Vicente Calderon.
Kvist is valued at mere €6 million, which is well within Atletico’s price range, and there is every chance that los Colchoneros will be making an official proposal in the coming days.
Since joining the Swabians from FC Kopenhagen, the 28-year-old has amassed 56 Bundesliga appearances, while he also featured in 9 Europa League matches. Kvist is a regular starter for his national team and has so far earned 41 Denmark caps.
