According to a recent report from Daily Telegraph, Chelsea star Willian has rejected a big money move that would see him join MLS newcomers Inter Miami.
The 31-year-old has turned down a three-year deal to join Inter, with David Beckham, the club’s co-owner, wanting to make the Brazilian one of the faces of their new franchise.
Willian is set to be out of a contract at Stamford Bridge next summer, but the general belief seems to be that he will wait until the European places have been determined before deciding where his future is going to lie.
It’s been a mixed campaign up to this point for Chelsea, but with just a few games left to play, it’s pretty clear to see that Frank Lampard is planning on investing in a big way during the summer.
Now, the big question is whether or not Willian will be part of those plans on a long-term basis.
