Willian is set to leave Chelsea and join Barcelona in the summer, according to Marca. The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season and his future has often been a subject of speculative reports in recent months amid continued interest from the Catalan club.
Apparently, Chelsea have tried to tie him down to a new deal, but Willian is keen on a change of scenery. The 31-year-old joined the London Blues in 2013 and has so far made over 320 appearances, scoring 57 goals in their shirt and helping them to two Premier League titles, one Europa League trophy, and one FA Cup and League Cup apiece. Meanwhile, he racked up 70 caps for his country as well.
Barcelona reportedly tried to sign Willian last summer and this winter too, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Now, however, unless he signs a new deal with them before the season ends, Chelsea won’t have a say in it and the La Liga champions are already in discussions with his representatives over a move to Camp Nou.
