Willian is set to leave Arsenal this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian winger arrived to the Emirates as free agent last summer after seven years with Chelsea, signing a three-year deal with Arsenal. His output in numbers has been rather disappointing, given that he came with a reputation of a two-time Premier League winner boasting a fantastic amount of experience. He has only scored once and made seven assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners. even though his performances earned praise from manager Mikel Arteta on a few occasions.
There are several European clubs interested in taking the 32-year-old away from North London, and David Beckham’s Inter Miami are expected to enter the fray as well with the aim of taking him to the MLS.
Apart from Willian, Arsenal are reportedly expected to allow Hector Bellerin, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah to leave too. David Luiz has already informed the club that he won’t be extending his contract which expires at the end of the season.
