Jack Wilshere has told Sky Sports that his talks with Arsenal are still ongoing, and he hopes they will end in a way that would see him remain at the Emirates beyond this summer.
Wilshere’s current deal is set to expire after the season ends, and his future remains unclear. The saga has been going on for a while now and he’s been no short of potential suitors if the large number of reports linking him to various clubs are anything to go by.
He says he’s keen on extending his stay at Arsenal, while Arsene Wenger has claimed on several occasions that the club is keen on keeping him too. However, Wilshere admits that once Wenger leaves this summer, the new manager appointed by the club will probably have an influence over the final decision. He adds that the decision is not easy to make not knowing the name of the man he would be working under.
