Wilshere could take pay cut to stay at Arsenal

The Mail Online understands that Jack Wilshere could take a pay cut in order to remain at Arsenal.

The England international had regularly been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium over the past two seasons, during which time he had a year-long loan spell at Bournemouth.

However, he broke back into the Gunners’ first team earlier this season as has impressed so much so that he looks set to remain with Arsene Wenger’s side.

His current deal, which is worth around £100,000-per-week is set to expire in the summer and the club are keen to offer him a new deal worth around £20,000-per-week less with add-on incentives.

The twenty-six year old midfielder’s first league outing this season didn’t come til October when he played in the 5-2 win at Everton while his last appearance was in Saturday’s 5-1 victory over the same opponents in North London.
