Serie A champions Juventus have been linked with a shock move for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, according to the Metro.
The 22 year old, who featured in two of England’s three games at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, has been challenged by his manager Arsene Wenger to become a ‘consistent presence’ for the North London side this season, though Juve are considering making a bid to secure his services.
Wilshere has made one hundred and thirty-two appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring ten goals while in 2011 he was named the clubs Player of the Season.
He missed the entire 2011/12 campaign through injury but, despite minor repercussions, has bounced back to become a first team regular in each of the past two seasons.
Should a deal materialise, the former Bolton Wanderers loanee could fill the gap set to be left by Arturo Vidal, who has himself been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.
