Wilshere set for Arsenal stay

Jack Wilshere is ready to put pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Arsenal, according to the Mirror.

The twenty-six-year old’s future has been in the subject of much speculation in recent months with Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers both keen on securing his services.

French champions Paris Saint Germain also threw their hat into the ring recently though the midfielder looks set to remain at the Emirates Stadium for the foreseeable future.

Wilshere played thirty-eight times for the Gunners in all competitions during the 2017/18 campaign, scoring two goals.

However, despite an impressive spell over at the turn of the year overall his form was inconsistent and saw him be omitted from Gareth Southgate’s squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.

His last international appearance came in the Three Lions’ defeat to Iceland in the knockout stages of the 2016 European Championships in France.
