Arsene Wenger are set to open talks with Jack Wilshere over a new contract, according to the Mail Online.
The England international, who’s contract expires in the summer spent the majority of last season on loan at Bournemouth after falling out of favour at the Emirates Stadium, and racked up twenty-seven appearances for the south coast club.
Following his spell with Eddie Howe’s side, a whole host of clubs were linked with a move for the midfielder with West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Sampdoria all monitoring the situation.
However, after making his first Premier League appearance of the season as Arsene Wenger’s men thumped Everton 5-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, he is now set to remain in North London.
Wilshere has racked up one hundred and twenty-three appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, scoring twelve goals while he has been capped thirty-four times for England, scoring twice.
