Wilshere set for new Arsenal deal

Arsenal are ready to offer Jack Wilshere a new contract, according to the Mirror.

The England international began the 2017/18 campaign seemingly frozen out under manager Arsene Wenger but has started each of his side’s last six Premier League games, impressing with his form.

His goal in last week’s 2-2 draw with reigning champions Chelsea was his first in the league for over two-and-a-half years and he now looks set to be rewarded with a new deal having been linked with a move away in the summer.

He spent most of last season on loan with Bournemouth, who along with West Ham United and Crystal Palace were among the sides again interested in securing his services.

In total, Wilshere has played one hundred and seventy-eight times for the Gunners, scoring fourteen goals while he was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in both 2014 and 2015.
