The Independent understand that Jack Wilshere is no closer to agreeing a new deal at Arsenal.
Having spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, the England international’s future with the Gunners has been the subject of much speculation though he has impressed on his return.
However, he has just three months remaining on his current deal with the North London side and there is yet to be any headway in negotiations.
The twenty-six year old has made twenty-eight appearances in all competitions this season, scoring twice.
He is closing in on two hundred games in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side and during that haul he has won two FA Cups while he had a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers early on in his career.
Internationally he has been capped thirty-four times for his country, scoring twice and both of those goals came in a 3-2 European Championships qualifying win over Slovenia in June 2015.
