Wilson not heading to Newcastle

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Newcastle United are now not likely to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson. The primary reason for this is because he isn’t going to be available to them on loan, with Jurgen Klopp making it clear that he is more open to the idea of selling the 22 year old. The belief is that they value him pretty highly, with some suggesting the figure is in the region of £20 million to £25 million. While he may not be the same kind of headline name that a lot of the Reds’ other big stars are, he certainly has a great deal of potential.

Given that Newcastle will probably take all they can get when it comes to the summer transfer window, it’ll be pretty interesting to see whether or not they decide to try and stump up the cash for this deal. It seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened.
