Harry Wilson has joined the ranks at AFC Bournemouth on loan from Liverpool for the 2019/20 season, which is his fourth temporary departure from Anfield after spells with Crewe Alexandra, Hull City and Derby County.
The deal with the Cherries was agreed without an option to buy, which indicates that Liverpool still believe he has a future on Merseyside. They may feel that, after completing a successful season in the Championship with Derby, he needs to be tested in the Premier League before he is properly considered as an addition that would improve Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Be that as it may, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe spoke briefly about the 22-year-old in his press conference preceding their season opener against Sheffield United, and revealed that it was the youngster’s formidable skill in scoring goals from range that caught his eye the most.
“We haven’t seen too much of Harry yet, what impressed me though is his shooting ability.
“He makes things happen and we’re excited by him,” he said.
