Valencia CF are the leaders in the Spanish Primera Division following a hard fought 1-0 win over Osasuna.
The Bats, who seem to have recovered from a few disappointing seasons, finally broke the deadlock through Juan Mata with six minutes left to play.
Osasuna had been down to ten since the 63rd minute as Azpilicueta conceded his second card after already having received one nine minutes earlier.
The Valencians are placed first in la Liga with seven points from three games. Almeria, Villarreal and Espanyol have the same amount of points but a slightly less positive goal record.
