Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg have reached an agreement to recruit Julian Draxler from Schalke, Bild has revealed.
The Wolves were desperate to sign a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne and they finally found an understanding with their Bundesliga rivals last night.
Wolfsburg will pay €35 million for the youngster, while the fee could rise to €42 million depending on various bonuses.
The Wolves will be delighted to have secured the signing of one of country’s hottest prospects, who is slowly rediscovering his form after returning from a serious injury.
Julian Draxler already has plenty of top flight experience, having amassed a total of 119 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 18 goals.
The attacking midfielder has 15 Germany caps to his name and he made one outing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Draxler has missed out on Joachim Low’s latest squad, with die Mannschaft available at 1/4 to see off Poland on Friday.
