Wolfsburg are showing interest in Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf, German daily Bild has learned.
The Senegalese striker has already decided to leave the 96ers when his contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with clubs from England and Germany.
According to Bild, Bundesliga high-flyers Wolfsburg are the latest side to have joined the chase for his signature.
The same source has learned that Wolves manager Klaus Alofs and coach Dieter Hecking visited Mame Biram Diouf at his house, where they held a secret meeting with the player.
This is enough to suggest Wolfsburg are seriously thinking about luring Diouf to Volkswagen Arena in the summer transfer window as they look to reinforce their attacking department.
The 26-year-old, who had joined Hannover from Manchester United in January 2012, has managed to kick-start his career in Germany’s top flight, having bagged 26 goals in 57 Bundesliga outings.
