Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg are in pole position to recruit FC Basel forward Breel Embolo, according to Bild.
The Wolves are not exactly spoilt for options in the final third and they are keen to add the Switzerland starlet to their ranks.
Having followed the 18-year-old for quite a while, Wolfsburg attempted to sign the youngster in the final days of the summer transfer window, but the player did not want to leave having promised the club chiefs he would not be going this summer.
Nonetheless, the Wolves aim to make things right in January and it is believed they will have to pay around €15 million for the talented footballer.
Despite his fragile age, Embolo is already regarded a first team regular at FC Basel, and has so far scored 13 goals in 24 league starts.
The youngster has been capped three times by Switzerland and is in the squad for Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia, where the Rosocrociati are 8/15 to emerge victorious.
