Wolfsburg eyeing Lucas Podolski

Sport Bild is reporting that Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have joined the race for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.

Having missed out on Champions League qualification by mere one point last term, the Wolves aim to make things right this season.

And while they have so far added the likes of Joshua Guilavogui, Sebastian Jung, Aaron Hunt and Nicklas Bendtner to their ranks, they seem to lack some quality up front and plan to make a move on Lukas Podolski.

The German forward was reportedly given permission to leave the club by Arsene Wenger and there are no doubts he would be interested in a return to Bundesliga.

Galatasaray and few English clubs are believed to be keen as well, but Wolfsburg believe they can win the race for the player’s signature.

The Wolves start the new league campaign against Bayern Munich at Alianz Arena and they are 10/1 to shock the Bavarians and claim maximum points.
