Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen are hot on the trail of Borussia M’gladbach striker Max Kruse, according to Bild.
The highly rated forward has a long list of admirers in Germany’s top flight and he is currently considering his options.
Kruse has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for €12 million in the summer transfer window and there could be quite a few sides looking to take advantage of the situation.
With the 27-year-old determined to play Champions League football next term, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg remain the only serious contenders for his signature, that is in case he decides to leave die Fohlen.
The Wolves appear to be front-runners for his signature given that they can offer the striker a better deal, while Kruse would also be closer to Hamburg, where his son lives.
The Germany international has scored 9 goals in 28 league outings this term, albeit failing to score a single goal in seven Europa League matches.
