Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are set to test Roma’s resolve with a mega-money bid for talented forward Mattia Destro, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Having narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification, the Wolves are determined to make things right next season and they believe signing a high-profile striker would help them in their quest.
As a result, Wolfsburg are planning an assault on Roma striker Mattia Destro, who has yet to nail down a regular starting berth at Stadio Olimpico.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Wolves could submit a proposal in the region of €30 million, while offering the player a €3 million yearly wage.
And while Roma officials see Destro as a very important member of the squad, it is believed they would not be able to resist a mega money bid.
The 23-year-old has shown a great deal of potential this season, scoring a total of 13 league goals while spending less than 1,200 minutes on the pitch this term.
