Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have sealed a deal for Crystal Palace target Paul-Georges Ntep, German media Bild have confirmed.
The 24-year-old France forward was brought from Stade Rennes on a deal reportedly worth around €5 million, whereas the player himself has signed a deal that will see him remain at the Volkswagen Arena until 2021.
Ntep’s contract with the French side was expiring at the end of the season and Wolfsburg have been rather quick to snap a bargain deal that could turn out to be a quality signing for the club in their relegation fight.
Wolfsburg are currently sitting in 13th place, only three points clear of the dropping zone. The Wolves have been pretty active so far in the January transfer window, reinvesting a good deal of €42 million received from PSG for Julian Draxler’s transfer.
Ntep is Wolfsburg’s fourth signing already this winter. The Bundesliga side have already brought Riechedley Bazoer from Ajax, Yunus Malli from Mainz and Victor Osimhen from the Ultimate Strikers Academy.
