Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have reignited their interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Joshua Guilavogui, reports Bild.
Having narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification last term, the Wolves aim to make things right this season and have big plans for the summer transfer window.
Wolfsburg have so far only recruited Aaron Hunt from Werder Bremen, but they plan to make Atletico Madrid’s Joshua Guilavogui their second signing of the summer.
The Wolves are prepared to offer the Frenchman an escape route from Vicente Calderon, with outright transfer and season-long loan both being considered.
Joshua Guilavogui has utterly failed to prove his worth at Vicente Calderon having joined from Saint Etienne last summer, and he later rejoined les Verts on a short-term loan, making seven league appearances in the process.
But, with the player no longer in the first team plans of Atletico boss Diego Simeone, everything suggests he will again be leaving los Colchoneros this summer.
