Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have moved on to intensify their interest in Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Tottenham target Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old Besiktas striker has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Turkish football after bagging 20 goals in 33 appearances for his team last season.
Tosun continued his fine scoring exploits this term as well and already has seven goals on his tally. His flying form has alarmed a number of Premier League clubs but Wolfsburg are said to have decided to cut the chase and lodge a £9 million bid hoping to snatch the in-demand striker.
That’s according to Turkish media outlet Sporx that claims Bundesliga strugglers are looking to add some firepower upfront to help them turn the fortunes around.
Wolfsburg scored only nine goals in as many games in the German top tier and are hoping that Tosun’s exploits could help them boost the numbers and move up the ladder.
