Spanish daily newspaper Marca understands that Wolfsburg are showing interest in Real Madrid starlets Borja Mayoral and Omar Mascarell.
The 20-year-old forward joined the Wolves on loan last summer and he did enough to impress the club officials despite starting mere three Bundesliga fixtures.
Majoral managed 2 goals in less than 400 minutes of league football this term, proving that he’s got potential to develop into a quality footballer.
As a result, Wolfsburg will attempt to buy out his contract, and Real Madrid will only consider such a proposal if a buy-back clause is included.
Such a clause allowed them to resign Alvaro Morata and Lucas Vazquez, among other players, and they want to include it in Borja Mayoral’s contract as well.
At the same time, Wolfsburg are in talks with Real Madrid over midfielder Omar Mascarell, who is currently on the books of Eintracht Frankfurt.
But, considering that los Blancos have the option to buy the 24-year-old back for €4 million, it is hardly surprising they were the side contacted by the Wolves.
