Wolfsburg are set to complete the signing of striker Bas Dost from Heerenveen, according to Bild.
The Dutch striker has become one of the hottest commodities in European football after scoring 32 goals in 34 Eredivisie games this season.
The 22-year-old has seen his name linked with a number of high-profile sides, but it looks as though Wolfsburg have won the race for the player’s signature.
Bild claims that the Wolves are set to agree a €10 million deal for the highly rated forward, with the official confirmation expected in the coming days.
That basically means that Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic will be allowed to leave in the summer in spite of his pretty good performances this season.
Boss Felix Magath is far from happy with the Croat’s behaviour and the arrival of Dost will help him get rid of the 25-year-old.
Veterans Hasan Salihamidzic and Chris will also leave the club when their contracts expire in June.
