Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Birmingham City to Molineux Stadium in the Championship tonight, and are favourites to come out on top in the Black Country derby to move eight points clear of the drop zone and end their recent losing run in the division.

Paul Lambert’s Wolverhampton Wanderers side are currently 19th in the Championship table with 35 points from 31 games this season, having suffered four defeats from their last five outings. Wolves have won two of their last five on home soil, and will be hoping to take advantage of Birmingham’s poor form.

As for the visitors, Gianfranco Zola’s Birmingham City side are three places and five points ahead of Wanderers in the division, but have suffered five defeats from their last six ahead of tonight’s meeting. City have managed just one win in their previous 13 away games, suffering three consecutive defeats, and could well come unstuck at Molineux as a result.
