Wolverhampton Wanderers eye Salomon Rondon

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing former Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that Wolves are looking at Rondon as a possible short-term cover for Raul Jimenez.

Jimenez suffered a head injury against Arsenal in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen when the Mexico international is fully fit and is able to make a comeback. Wolves has now started looking at short-term option and have identified Rondon as a possible target in the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old Venezuela international striker is playing for Dalian Professional in the Chinese Super League. Rondon has experience of playing in the Premier League with West Brom, and he also had a loan spell at Newcastle from the Baggies.
