Wolves and Stuttgart in Kalajdzic talks

Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in talks with VfB Stuttgart over a potential transfer of Sasa Kalajdzic, according to Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old striker was one of the targets considered by Manchester United earlier this month, and before that by Benfica who sought to replace Liverpool-bound Darwin Nunez, but as neither club took concrete steps to make something happen on that front, Wolves appear to have stepped in and taken the lead in the race.

Their negotiations with the Bundesliga club are believed to be in an advanced stage, even though there is still a gap to be overcome when it comes to the valuation of the player’s services. It seems the Premier League side are willing to pay up to £15 million, while Eintracht want at least €25m (£21.6m).

As for the 6’7” attacker, he is reportedly keen on swapping the German top flight for the English, and as he’s already entered the final 12 months of his contract with Stuttgart, it stands to reason to expect common ground between the clubs to be found before the window closes.
