According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Wolves are expecting a decision in the next 48 hours regarding Diego Costa.
Just a day or two ago it seemed almost set in stone that the controversial forward would be making his way back over to English football as a free agent. However, the 33-year-old saw his work permit application ‘not qualify’ due to a lack of international appearances.
The permit hasn’t been outright rejected but he must now go to a panel in order to decide whether or not it’ll be granted.
He’s still set to arrive in England on Tuesday morning, but it’s still up in the air as to whether or not he’ll sign on the dotted line. A potential second choice forward for the club to pursue if the Costa deal doesn’t come off is Andy Carroll, although we can’t imagine the Molineux faithful would be overly pleased with such a signing.
