According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in talks with Barcelona SC over the potential signing of Leonardo Campana. The teenage sensation featured in the U20 Championship in South America last year, proving to be one of the most popular stars of the entire tournament.
If the deal in question goes through then he would almost certainly make his way into Wolves’ under-23s team as opposed to the senior squad, and he will not need a work permit as he has a Spanish passport to his name.
Many Wolves fans would probably want to see him being thrust into the first team, if only to beef out their squad a bit – and also to see if he has what it takes to succeed at the highest level right now.
Campana has caught the eye of many top clubs around Europe in recent months, but Wolves, who are a side on the rise both domestically and in Europe, could be the ones to get a deal done.
