According to a recent report from Sky sources, Wolverhampton Wanderers are indeed interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. Despite this, however, a deal currently seems fairly unlikely – although that could change as we get closer and closer to the summer transfer window’s closure for another year.
AC Milan want at least £30 million in order to agree to the sale of the 22 year old, who isn’t all too interested in the idea of a move away. Personal terms may also be difficult to agree to, but the one big issue for Milan wanting to keep him is that FFP restrictions could wind up forcing their hand.
Wolves have already made a number of high profile signings during the transfer window, but the belief is that they still need a few more before they can be comfortable with their squad ahead of the new season – especially with the Europa League to worry about.
