Wolves’ Jonny still interested in Atletico Madrid

“My desire to play for Atletico is still there, honestly”.

Those are the words of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Jonny, who has made it known that he’s still interested in playing for Atletico again one day. The 25 year old joined the Spanish giants back in 2018 from Celta Vigo, but immediately joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season long loan. Then, on the final day of the January transfer window, it was announced that Wolves had made his deal a permanent one.

Of course, not even getting a chance to feature for Atletico would’ve been hard to take, especially given the stature of the club. Wolves are doing great things right now but there’s no denying that the possibility of Jonny going back to Atletico one day is on the table, especially if it helps him keep his place in the Spanish national team setup.

Either way, it’s worth keeping an eye on this.
