Wolves’ Maitland-Niles bid rejected

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ opening bid for Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been rejected by Arsenal.

The bid was believed to be in the region of £15 million, and while talks between the two parties look set to continue, the Gunners will require at least £20 million if this deal is going to properly get off of the ground.

Maitland-Niles is open to a potential move away from the Emirates, whereas Wolves are clearly in need of some kind of new signing – especially after Jonny’s recent injury.

Nuno Espirito Santo has recognised that AMN has the kind of depth necessary to play multiple roles in the starting XI, but of course, fans will want more than that ahead of the new campaign.

They may not have the Europa League to concern themselves with this time around, but the domestic schedule is going to be even busier than usual.
