Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking into a possibility to increase their Portuguese contingent by yet another name this summer.
According to growing reports in Turkey, Wolves have set their sights on former Real Madrid defender Pepe whose potential transfer would be considered a genuine coup for the Premier League outfit.
The experienced 35-year-old defender is coming off from a World Cup summer with Portugal. He played in all four matches in Russia and got his name on the score sheet against Uruguay, as his team bowed out of the competition.
Pepe is heading into a final year in his Besiktas deal and is said to be open for a change of surroundings. Wolves have been making plenty of headlines with their aggressive transfer policy and his potential arrival would take the tally of Portuguese footballers from eight to nine.
Wolves have already added two high-profile Portuguese names this summer – Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio.
