Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected an offer from Celtic for striker Leigh Griffiths, Sky Sports understands.
The Scotland international, who is the clubs top scorer this season with thirteen goals, returned to Molenieux ater two successful loan spells with Hibernian in the summer.
He originally moved to the Black Country from Dundee and has been linked with a return to his homeland with Celtic boss Neil Lennon keen to bring in another striker.
However, he looks set to remain with Kenny Jackett’s men as they look to secure an immediate return to the Championship after dropping down to the third tier last May.
Wolves currently sit third in League One, two points behind second place Leyton Orient and a further two behind leaders Brentford.
They travel to Boundary Park tomorrow evening to face Oldham Athletic, and Griffiths can be backed at odds of 5/1 to get the first goal of the game.
